About The Position

They are a notable provider of planning, building and safety, engineering, construction management, and fire consulting services, with a track record of completing complex projects and staffing assignments for both public and private clients. 4LEAF is seeking qualified Construction Managers for Public Works projects in San Diego County. The ideal candidate will perform contract administration tasks, observe and evaluate contractor compliance with construction documents, and evaluate proposed remedial actions for public works-type projects.

Requirements

  • 5 years of experience as a Construction Manager on public works or civil infrastructure projects.
  • Prior experience with state-and federally funded projects.
  • Prepare RFPs and RFQs.
  • Experience on roadways, earthwork and grading, underground utilities, traffic signalization projects and general construction management.
  • Proficient computer, writing, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Good problem-solving capability and interpersonal skills.
  • Driver's License (required)

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical and administrative management services for the project, manage all contract activities related to the construction of the project, and coordinate with the State Representative, Project Manager (PM) and Design Lead on all correspondence.
  • Perform the duties of a Construction Manager (CM), including monitoring construction, scheduling, quality calculations, estimates, coordinate materials and sampling control, and ensure compliance with project plans, specifications, permits and agreements.
  • Receive, review, and respond to Requests for Information (RFI) submittals.
  • Change Order Requests (COR’s) and notices of potential claim.
  • Coordinate all construction activities with applicable agency staff.
  • Conduct regular progress meetings with project team.
  • Maintain project communication and documentation.
