About The Position

Requirements

• Active Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) license in the state where care will be provided.
• Meet state licensing requirements and hold an active state license with prescriptive authority; full prescriptive authority is required in New Mexico.
• Hold or be willing to obtain DEA certification.
• Be eligible for credentialing with Medicaid and other payors, without restrictions.
• Be BLS certified.
• Submit an updated resume/CV and completed Pre-Hire Skills Self-Assessment Checklist with the application.

Nice To Haves

• For the ideal experienced candidate: at least two years of advanced practice clinical experience in women’s health and/or reproductive medicine.
• For the ideal new graduate candidate: graduation from a WHNP program within the past year, current location in New Mexico, board certification, and New Mexico RN and WHNP licenses.
• For an ideal new graduate in New Mexico: eligibility for provisional prescriptive authority upon submission of a mentorship plan with PPRM.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule that includes weekdays, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Spanish fluency; additional pay is available upon passing a test.
• Willingness to complete in-house ultrasound training within one year if practicing.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive physical exams focused on reproductive health for patients of all genders.
• Perform cancer screenings, diagnose and treat STIs, and complete advanced clinical procedures.
• Provide contraceptive counseling, education, and method provision.
• Support abortion care through counseling, referrals, scheduling, and/or direct provision.
• Provide patient-centered, trauma-informed care, including medication abortion and gender-affirming care, in accordance with laws and PPRM Medical Standards & Guidelines.
• Partner with patients, care teams, and community agencies to support holistic care.
• Advance access to reproductive healthcare while achieving quality and performance goals as a clinical leader.
• Complete in-house ultrasound training within one year if practicing.
