About The Position

Requirements

• Hold a valid Class A CDL without airbrake restrictions from the state declared as the driver's permanent domicile.
• Have at least three years of verifiable experience operating a commercial motor vehicle; the posting also states “12 months or 150,000 miles.”
• Read, write, speak, and clearly understand English.
• Complete DOT applications accurately; include a seven-year motor vehicle record and account for all employment, unemployment, self-employment, and education during the past ten years. All activities in the last three years must be verifiable.
• Meet or exceed DOT medical standards, including passing a physical examination and drug test at a company-approved facility.
• Possess a valid Social Security card.
• Meet the listed driving-record standards: no reckless driving violations or license suspensions in the last ten years; no moving violations in the last three years; no more than one moving violation in the last five years; no at-fault accidents in the last five years; and no more than two moving or non-moving violations in a five-year period. Additional violation limits are specified in the posting.
• Have no failed or refused drug or alcohol test.
• Meet the listed criminal-history standards, including no felony convictions within ten years from completion of restitution; older convictions are considered case by case. The posting also excludes controlled-substance events and crimes against another person, and says misdemeanors are considered case by case.
• Have no DWI, DUI, BAC, or open-container convictions in the last ten years.
• Present a clean and professional appearance.
• The initial posting also lists a minimum of one year of commercial driving experience and safe driving records.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a Class A tractor-trailer on assigned routes.
• Deliver freight safely and on time.
• Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Maintain DOT and delivery documentation.
• Communicate professionally with dispatch and customers.
• Follow DOT, FMCSA, and company safety requirements.
• Successfully complete the Corrugated Logistics road test.
