About The Position

American Welding and Gas, Inc. has an immediate opportunity for a Bulk Delivery Driver in Wheeling, Illinois. The role involves loading, unloading, and delivering CO2 and cryogenic liquids using transport tankers and/or cryogenic vessels, as well as safely handling empty and full cylinders. Overnight trips may be required, and other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

Class A CDL with HazMat and Tanker endorsements.
Successful completion of a DOT pre-employment drug screen and physical, and a company-administered road test.
Clean driving record for 3+ years.
Ability to lift 50–75 pounds.
Good customer service skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Comfort using computers.
Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, twisting, climbing, crouching, kneeling, driving, repetitive movement, operating motorized equipment, and sitting, standing, and walking.
Ability to work indoors or outdoors as business needs require and in increased noise levels and safety hazards.

Responsibilities

Load, unload, and deliver CO2 and cryogenic liquids in transport tankers and/or cryogenic vessels.
Move, load, and unload empty and full cylinders safely and efficiently.
Read, understand, and follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Ensure compliance with CGMP, Hazmat, OSHA, DOT, and other regulatory agencies.
Prepare, complete, and verify the accuracy of paperwork.
Ensure vehicles are appropriately placarded and/or labeled.
Perform vehicle pre-inspections and report problems to a manager.
Maintain electronic trip logs.
Maintain vehicle cleanliness.
Take overnight trips when required.
Perform other duties as assigned.
