About The Position

Penske Logistics is hiring full-time local Class A CDL Truck Drivers to make multi-stop deliveries of eggs to customers throughout New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania, including customer locations in four of New York City's five boroughs. Drivers safely unload product using pallet jacks and operate late-model Penske Truck Leasing trucks equipped with inward- and outward-facing in-cab cameras. The role involves customer service and representing Penske and its clients at delivery locations. Drivers are home daily and work a consistent five-day schedule with Sundays off, with dispatch between 1:00 AM and 4:00 AM. Compensation is $31.00 per hour, with overtime after 40 hours.

The position requires a valid Class A CDL, qualifying documented tractor-trailer experience, a suitable driving record, and the ability to meet DOT and safety-sensitive role requirements. Drivers must be able to perform the stated physical duties, including lifting and moving products and safely entering and exiting the truck and cargo area.

Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL; applicants must be domiciled in the United States and licensed in their state of residence.
• Currently hold or be able to obtain a non-excepted interstate DOT medical card.
• At least 1 year of documented tractor-trailer experience in the last 3 years, or 2 years of documented tractor-trailer experience in the last 5 years.
• A 3-year DMV/MVR record with two or fewer moving violations or accidents.
• English language proficiency as required by federal law.
• Ability to work the required schedule and at the specific location, complete the Penske employment application, and submit to a background investigation and drug screening.
• Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safely perform a safety-sensitive, DOT-regulated role.
• Ability to see and hear, including close, distance, and peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
• Ability to move frequently, stand, walk, and sit; use hands to touch, handle, and feel; and reach with hands and arms.
• Ability to regularly lift or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift or move up to 100 pounds.
• Ability to legally operate a motor vehicle and safely and frequently enter and exit the vehicle and rear cargo area.

Responsibilities

• Perform multi-stop deliveries of eggs to customer locations throughout New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania.
• Safely unload product using pallet jacks at customer delivery sites.
• Service customer locations throughout four of New York City's five boroughs.
• Follow applicable federal and state laws, regulations, agency rules, standards, and guidelines.
• Maintain regular, predictable, full attendance and work the required schedule at the designated location.
• Operate safely and remain alert, accepting responsibility for personal safety and the safety of others.
