Truck Driver - CDL Class A - Penske Logistics
About The Position
Penske Logistics is hiring full-time Class A CDL truck drivers for a home-daily role delivering parts and supplies to automotive dealerships. Drivers perform multi-stop deliveries, unload trailers, and scan products during unloading and delivery. The schedule is five days per week, with dispatch at 5:27 p.m. and an average of 50 hours per week; weekends are off. Drivers operate late-model, Penske-maintained trucks equipped with inward- and outward-facing cameras. The position requires safe operation of a commercial vehicle, customer service, and representing Penske and its clients. Requirements
- Valid Class A CDL; applicants must be domiciled in the United States and licensed in their state of residence.
- Currently hold or be able to obtain a non-excepted interstate DOT medical card.
- One year of documented tractor-trailer experience in the last three years, or two years of documented tractor-trailer experience in the last five years.
- Three-year DMV/MVR record with two or fewer moving violations or accidents.
- English language proficiency as required by federal law.
- Ability to work the required schedule and at the specified location; complete a Penske employment application; and submit to a background investigation and drug screening.
- Ability to remain alert and work safely, accepting responsibility for personal safety and the safety of others.
- Ability to see and hear, including close, distance, and peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
- Ability to move frequently, stand, walk, sit, use hands to touch, handle, and feel, and reach with hands and arms.
- Ability to lift or move up to 50 pounds frequently and occasionally up to 100 pounds.
- Ability to legally operate a motor vehicle and safely and frequently enter and exit the vehicle and rear cargo area.
Responsibilities
- Perform multi-stop deliveries of parts and supplies to automotive dealerships.
- Unload trailers using manual pallet jacks, hand trucks, and rolling cages.
- Scan products as they are unloaded and delivered.
- Operate commercial vehicles safely and remain alert while performing safety-sensitive work.
- Represent Penske and its clients and provide customer service while building relationships with accounts.
