Home Builder - Giles

About The Position
The Home Building Team Member performs manufacturing production operations assigned to each department in the home-building process. The role follows standard production methods and safe work practices to support efficient, safe production and meet quality and productivity objectives. Team members help maintain company assets and work areas, and support planning and organizing manufacturing activities by communicating material shortages, tool-maintenance needs, and quality or productivity issues. The position is full-time, hourly, and scheduled for weekdays on first shift. It reports to the Area Coordinator in the Production department. No travel is required.
Requirements
- Versatility and willingness to transfer into various departments when necessary.
- Clear and effective communication.
- Ability to walk, climb, lift at least 50 pounds, and perform other required physical duties.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Ability to read architectural and engineering drawings is greatly desired.
Responsibilities
- Practice safe work habits and observe relevant OSHA regulations to help ensure efficient, safe production.
- Work as part of a team to produce products that meet quality standards and productivity objectives.
- Protect company physical assets from damage and misuse, report maintenance needs, and keep assigned areas clean and orderly.
- Assist the Team Leader and Area Coordinator in planning and organizing manufacturing activities by communicating anticipated material shortages, required tool maintenance, and quality or productivity issues.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
