About The Position
McGrath Volkswagen of Dubuque is seeking motivated Oil & Lube Technicians to join their fast-paced and growing service team. As part of the McGrath Family of Dealerships, they have built a reputation as one of Eastern Iowa's most trusted automotive organizations by investing in their people and promoting from within. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start or grow a career in automotive service. They will work alongside experienced technicians in a professional environment while receiving hands-on training and development opportunities designed to help them advance into higher-level technician roles. This role is for mechanically inclined individuals, eager to learn, and looking for a long-term career path.
Requirements
- 0–2+ years of automotive, express technician, lube technician, or related mechanical experience preferred
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn new skills
- Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance services including oil changes, tire rotations, fluid inspections, and filter replacements
- Complete multi-point vehicle inspections accurately and thoroughly
- Communicate vehicle findings with Service Advisors and technicians
- Follow manufacturer procedures and dealership safety standards
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Assist the service department in delivering an exceptional customer experience
- Participate in ongoing training and development opportunities
