About The Position

Berman Kia is seeking motivated and enthusiastic experienced automotive technicians to join its service team in Lincolnwood, Illinois. The position involves diagnosing and repairing vehicles, performing inspections and maintenance, following Kia brand standards and safety procedures, and collaborating with the service team. Technicians participate in ongoing training to advance their technical skills and obtain higher certifications.

Requirements

At least 3 years of experience in an automotive repair setting.
ASE Certifications.
Understanding of automotive systems, including engine, transmission, suspension, electrical, and brakes.
Ability to work in a team, follow instructions, and take direction from senior technicians.
Strong attention to detail, ability to follow procedures, and willingness to learn and improve problem-solving techniques.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
Enthusiasm for learning and hands-on technical work.

Responsibilities

Diagnose, test, and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues.
Perform complex repairs, including engine, transmission, and suspension work.
Conduct multi-point vehicle inspections and report findings to service advisors.
Perform repairs and maintenance according to brand standards and procedures.
Participate in ongoing training to advance technical skills and obtain higher certifications.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace and follow safety protocols.
Communicate effectively with the service team to support smooth workflow and customer satisfaction.
