About The Position
Berman Hyundai is hiring an Automotive Skilled Technician to perform dealership vehicle repair and maintenance. This is a full-time position scheduled for 40 hours per week in Lincolnwood, Illinois, paying $22.00 per hour. The role includes union shop representation and job security, company-paid health insurance and pension, company-paid ASE certifications and factory training (including travel), company-paid tool insurance and uniforms, paid time off, employee discounts, and access to the shop for personal vehicle repairs after hours.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience as a technician in a work setting.
- Valid driver’s license and a clean 3-year driving record.
- Ability to read and comprehend written instructions and information.
- Knowledge of automotive repair and maintenance.
Responsibilities
- Perform work specified on repair orders efficiently and in accordance with dealership standards.
- Test-drive vehicles and test components and systems using diagnostic tools and special service equipment.
- Diagnose, maintain, and repair automotive systems, including engines, transmissions, electrical systems, steering, suspension, brakes, and air conditioning.
- Perform warranty repairs to manufacturer specifications.
