General Service Technician / Mechanic | Up to $25/Hr & Weekends Off | New Braunfels
About The Position
Christian Brothers Automotive is seeking an energetic, upbeat Automotive General Service Technician / Mechanic with a positive attitude and a strong commitment to finding solutions and doing what is right for guests. The position is at a locally owned and operated Christian Brothers Automotive franchise in New Braunfels, Texas. Technicians perform general maintenance and repair services, conduct state-mandated vehicle inspections, and work collaboratively to address guest concerns. The shop offers a modern facility with manufacturer-level diagnostic equipment and factory scan tools, along with training and live technical support.
Requirements
- Current driver's license.
- Entry-level position; a high school diploma or equivalent is preferred but not required.
- Ability to occasionally lift and/or move more than 50 pounds.
- Ability to work with tools on vehicles lifted above one's head and in tight spaces as required by repairs.
- Dexterity to use hand tools efficiently.
- Ability to walk and stand for most of the workday.
- Ability to drive manual transmission vehicles.
- Ability to maintain a brisk work pace in a high-volume environment.
- Ability to navigate a computer efficiently.

Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance and repair services, including oil changes, tire rotations, battery replacements, suspension alignments, and other services.
- Perform state-mandated vehicle emissions and safety inspections in accordance with state regulations.
- Work as part of a team to troubleshoot guest concerns quickly and effectively.
- Complete full, accurate, and honest courtesy vehicle inspections.
- Ensure preventive maintenance reports are complete and accurate.
- Comply with federal, state, and local regulations affecting service operations, including hazardous waste disposal and OSHA right-to-know requirements.
- Assist with housekeeping functions as directed by management.
- Communicate with the service department about the extent of damage or malfunctions on guests' vehicles.
- Follow and promote high standards of safety, cleanliness, and organization.
