About The Position

Christian Brothers Automotive is seeking an energetic, upbeat General Service Technician / Mechanic with a positive attitude and a strong commitment to finding solutions and doing what is right for guests. The position is located at 1760 Hwy 46 West, New Braunfels, TX 78132. This is an entry-level role performing vehicle maintenance and repair, inspections, troubleshooting, and related shop duties. Technicians work with the service department and follow standards for safety, cleanliness, organization, and regulatory compliance.

Requirements

Current driver's license.
Ability to occasionally lift and/or move more than 50 pounds.
Ability to work with tools on vehicles lifted above one's head and in tight spaces as required by repairs.
Dexterity to use hand tools efficiently.
Ability to walk or stand for most of the workday.
Ability to drive manual transmission vehicles.
Ability to maintain a brisk work pace in a high-volume environment.
Ability to navigate a computer efficiently.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or equivalent; preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Perform maintenance and repair services, including oil changes, tire rotations, battery replacements, suspension alignments, and other general service work.
Perform state-mandated vehicle emissions and safety inspections in accordance with state regulations.
Work as part of a team to troubleshoot guest concerns quickly and effectively.
Complete full, accurate, and honest courtesy vehicle inspections.
Ensure preventive maintenance reports are complete and accurate.
Comply with federal, state, and local regulations affecting service operations, including hazardous waste disposal and OSHA right-to-know requirements.
Assist with housekeeping functions as directed by management.
Communicate effectively with the service department about the extent of damage or malfunctions on guest vehicles.
Follow and promote high standards of safety, cleanliness, and organization.
