About The Position

Christian Brothers Automotive is seeking an energetic, upbeat General Service Technician / Mechanic with a positive attitude and a strong commitment to finding solutions and doing what is right for guests. The role performs vehicle maintenance and repair, inspections, troubleshooting, and courtesy vehicle inspections while supporting safe, clean, and organized service operations. The position is located at 12440 W. Goldcrest St., Star, ID 83669. The opening is with a locally owned and operated Christian Brothers Automotive franchisee, which is the employer and makes all employment decisions.

Requirements

• Current driver's license.
• Ability to occasionally lift and/or move more than 50 pounds.
• Ability to work with tools on vehicles lifted above the technician's head.
• Ability to work in tight spaces as required by vehicle repairs.
• Manual dexterity to use hand tools efficiently.
• Ability to walk and stand for most of the workday.
• Ability to drive manual-transmission vehicles.
• Ability to maintain a brisk work pace in a high-volume environment.
• Ability to navigate a computer efficiently.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent; preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform vehicle maintenance and repairs, including oil changes, tire rotations, battery replacements, suspension alignments, and other services.
• Perform state-mandated vehicle emission and safety inspections in accordance with state regulations.
• Work with the team to troubleshoot guest concerns quickly and effectively.
• Complete full, accurate, and honest courtesy vehicle inspections.
• Ensure preventive maintenance reports are complete and accurate.
• Comply with applicable federal, state, and local service-operation regulations, including hazardous waste disposal and OSHA right-to-know requirements.
• Assist with housekeeping functions as directed by management.
• Communicate with the service department about the extent of vehicle damage or malfunctions.
• Follow and promote high standards of safety, cleanliness, and organization.
