About The Position
The Gate Automation & Low Voltage Technician plays a key role in both installation and service of gate systems and commercial security technologies. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys a mix of mechanical work, low-voltage systems, and customer interaction, with the opportunity to grow into a long-term career.
Requirements
- Experience with low-voltage systems (access control, cameras, intrusion, or cabling)
- Ability to install, program, and troubleshoot commercial security systems
- Strong problem-solving skills and logical thinking
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Comfortable using smartphones, tablets, and laptops in the field
- Proficiency with hand and power tools
- Eagerness to learn and grow within a technical field
Nice To Haves
- Experience with gate automation systems
- HVAC, electrical, or construction background
Responsibilities
- Install, service, and troubleshoot: Gate systems (slide, swing, lift, crash gates) Parking revenue control systems Bollards and barrier systems
- Support installation and service of low-voltage and security systems, including: Access control systems CCTV/video surveillance Security/intrusion systems Fire alarm systems Voice/data cabling and structured wiring Wired and wireless networks Paging and telephone entry systems
- Program, test, and troubleshoot commercial security and access systems
- Provide on-site customer service, including system training and support
- Collaborate with team members and assist in training new technicians
- Travel to job sites throughout Ohio as needed
