About The Position

This is a pivotal role within the operations structure reporting directly to the Assistant Director of Operations and managing the ‘administration line’ for the County. This role will assist in the smooth running of the County, provide additional resilience at a local level and be a full member of the County Management Team. This role will provide leadership to the administrative staff working within the County, provide direct support to the Assistant Director of Operations and other senior operational staff working within the County and provide a primary point of contact for staff working in other Directorates in Trust HQ. The County Business Manager will act as the link between administrative functions at a County level and Trust HQ.

Responsibilities

  • Provide line management, direction, welfare and support to the County Administration team. This includes undertaking career conversations, supporting staff health and wellbeing and all aspects of line management.
  • Work directly to the Assistant Director of Operations and with the Operations Managers to ensure the efficient and effective operation of the County.
  • Provide administrative expertise and guidance to the senior operational managers. This includes assisting in workload planning, helping to forecast forwards and assisting the Clinical Team Managers in their day to day management role (particularly when they are acting as the County Lead Clinical Team Manager).
  • Acting as the primary point of contact for staff in Trust HQ. In addition to informal contact this will include more formal channels of communication which could include providing updates on action plan progress on behalf of the Assistant Director of Operations, reporting compliance against KPIs or performance standards, assisting in drafting and submitting reports as directed by the Assistant Director of Operations.
  • Support the Assistant Director of Operations to maintain positive relationships with external stakeholders.
  • To engage in the wider Operations Directorate business.
  • Lead the preparation of agenda’s and minutes for internal and external meetings as directed by the Assistant Director of Operations.
