About The Position

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Interest in automotive collision repair and refinishing.
• Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
• Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand, bend, and work in a physically demanding environment for extended periods.

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience in the automotive collision center, and autobody schooling is preferred.
• Basic knowledge of automotive tools and equipment.
• Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
• Dependable attendance and punctuality.
• Commitment to producing quality workmanship.

Responsibilities

• Assist technicians with vehicle disassembly and reassembly.
• Prepare vehicle surfaces by sanding, grinding, masking, and cleaning prior to repairs and painting.
• Learn to repair dents, replace damaged panels, and perform basic bodywork under supervision.
• Operate hand and power tools safely and effectively.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Follow all shop safety procedures and OSHA guidelines.
• Inspect tools and equipment to ensure proper operation.
• Assist with moving vehicles and organizing parts.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding repair progress.
• Participate in on-the-job training and complete assigned learning objectives.
• Cleaning and detailing vehicles upon repair completion.
• Assist Body Techs and estimators with blue printing repairs.
• Complete pre and post scans on vehicles prior to repairs and at conclusion of repairs.
