About The Position

Roto-Rooter is North America's largest plumbing, drain cleaning, and water cleanup services provider. The Apprentice Plumber position offers 12 weeks of paid initial training, ongoing training in the company’s plumbing school, and guidance through the plumber licensing process. Compensation is commission-based with a guaranteed minimum hourly rate, averaging $60,000–$120,000 per year. The company says pay increases quickly with each year of experience.

Plumbing apprentices/service technicians diagnose plumbing and drain issues, provide customers with cost estimates, complete necessary repairs, document estimates and invoices, collect payment, and proceed to the next service call.

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license.
• Excellent communication skills.

Nice To Haves

• Mechanical aptitude is desirable.
• Prior plumbing experience is not necessary.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose plumbing and drain issues.
• Offer customers cost estimates and finalize the transaction.
• Make the necessary repairs for customers.
• Document estimates and invoices in writing and on a provided smartphone.
• Collect payment and move on to the next service call.
