About The Position

Caliber Collision is hiring a Technician Apprentice Program (TAP) – Body Apprentice at its Service Center in El Segundo. The apprentice performs general duties that may include repairing damaged vehicles to pre-accident condition using industry-approved techniques, while learning the program’s training materials and hands-on skills. Under a mentor’s direction, the apprentice learns to read estimates, identify damage, repair vehicles, and inspect work for quality and accuracy. No prior experience is required. The position pays $18–$20 per hour, with earning potential of $70,000 or more per year after completing the program.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Have a valid driver’s license and be eligible for coverage under Caliber’s insurance policy.
• Be eligible to work in the U.S. with no restrictions.
• Be able to perform consistent physical activity, including reaching below and above shoulder level, kneeling, bending, squatting, and lifting objects over 50 lbs.
• Be able to understand written and verbal instructions.
• Be able to prioritize competing tasks and adapt easily to a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

• Previous collision experience and/or Collision Vo-Tech certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform general duties, which may include repairing damaged vehicles to pre-accident condition using industry-approved repair techniques.
• Take responsibility for learning all training material and hands-on skills.
• Follow the mentor’s direction while learning to read estimates, identify damage, repair vehicles, and check work for quality and accuracy.
• Complete required training and certifications relating to TAP.
