About The Position

Caliber Collision is hiring a Technician Apprentice Program (TAP) – Body Apprentice for its Service Center in Hunt Valley. The apprentice performs general duties that may include repairing damaged vehicles to pre-accident condition using industry-approved techniques. The apprentice is responsible for learning the program’s training material and hands-on skills, following a mentor’s direction, learning to read estimates and identify damage, repairing vehicles, and checking work for quality and accuracy.

No experience is required. The program provides paid training and the opportunity to graduate with in-demand skills and a career as a body technician. The position can pay $17–$18, with an earning potential of $70,000 or more per year after completing the program.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Have a valid driver’s license and be eligible for coverage under Caliber’s insurance policy.
• Be able to perform consistent physical activity, including reaching below and above shoulder level, kneeling, bending, squatting, and lifting objects over 50 pounds.
• Be able to understand written and verbal instructions.
• Be able to prioritize competing tasks and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
• Be eligible to work in the U.S. with no restrictions.

Nice To Haves

• Previous collision experience.
• Collision Vo-Tech certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform general duties, which may include repairing damaged vehicles to pre-accident condition using industry-approved repair techniques.
• Learn all required training material and hands-on skills.
• Follow the mentor’s direction while learning to read estimates, identify damage, and repair vehicles.
• Check work for quality and accuracy.
• Complete required TAP training and certifications.
