Technician Apprentice Program - Body Apprentice
About The Position
Caliber Collision is hiring a Technician Apprentice Program (TAP) – Body Apprentice to learn and perform duties that may include repairing damaged vehicles to pre-accident condition using industry-approved techniques. The apprentice is responsible for learning the program’s training material and hands-on skills, following a mentor’s direction, learning to read estimates and identify damage, repairing vehicles, and checking work for quality and accuracy. No prior experience is required; training is provided. The position pays $16–$18 per hour, with stated earning potential of $70,000 or more per year after completing the program.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and be eligible for coverage under Caliber’s insurance policy.
- Must be eligible to work in the U.S. with no restrictions.
- Ability to perform consistent physical activity, including reaching below and above shoulder level, kneeling, bending, squatting, and lifting objects over 50 pounds.
- Ability to understand written and verbal instructions.
- Ability to prioritize competing tasks and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
Nice To Haves
- Previous collision experience.
- Collision Vo-Tech certification.
Responsibilities
- Learn all required TAP training material and hands-on skills.
- Follow a mentor’s direction while learning to read estimates and identify vehicle damage.
- Repair damaged vehicles to pre-accident condition using industry-approved repair techniques.
- Check repair work for quality and accuracy.
- Complete required training and certifications relating to TAP.
