Technician Apprentice Program - Body Apprentice
About The Position
Caliber Collision is hiring a Body Apprentice for its Technician Apprentice Program. The apprentice performs all-purpose duties that may include repairing damaged vehicles to pre-accident condition using industry-approved repair techniques. The apprentice is responsible for learning the program’s training material and hands-on skills, following a mentor’s direction, and learning to read estimates, identify damage, repair vehicles, and check work for quality and accuracy. No prior experience is required. The program provides paid training toward a career as a body technician. The position offers $18–$20 per hour.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age.
- Have a valid driver’s license and be eligible for coverage under Caliber’s insurance policy.
- Be able to perform consistent physical activity, including reaching below and above shoulder level, kneeling, bending, squatting, and lifting objects over 50 pounds.
- Be able to understand written and verbal instructions.
- Be able to prioritize competing tasks and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
- Be eligible to work in the U.S. with no restrictions.
Nice To Haves
- Previous collision experience.
- Collision Vo-Tech certification.
Responsibilities
- Perform all-purpose duties, including repairing damaged vehicles to pre-accident condition using industry-approved repair techniques.
- Learn all required training material and hands-on skills.
- Follow the mentor’s direction while learning to read estimates, identify damage, and repair vehicles.
- Check work for quality and accuracy.
- Complete required training and certifications relating to TAP.
