About The Position

Promotes a professional, patient-centered practice image by efficiently performing a variety of clinical and/or administrative duties for medical office outpatients under the direct supervision of a licensed physician or licensed mid-level provider. Serves as an important member of the care team, assisting the physician or mid-level provider with outcome-based patient care and using a team-based approach to all tasks. The position is limited to 12 months or until completion of the CVCC medical assistant program. With training and on-the-job experience, the incumbent is expected to become proficient in the basic aspects of the job within three months of employment.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in the CVCC medical assistant program.
• Obtain American Heart Association BCLS certification within three months of the employment date.
• No prior experience is required.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with an Electronic Health Record (EHR).
