Apprentices receive classroom instruction and clinical rotations at various clinics, observing and practicing patient-oriented procedures under direct supervision and guidance from experienced medical assistants, practice managers, clinicians, registered nurses, or licensed practical nurses. Apprentices work with a mentor to review skills assessments, identify areas for improvement, and receive coaching. The role provides supervised experience with clinical and administrative tasks to prepare apprentices for work as competent Medical Assistants.
