About The Position

Promotes a professional, patient-centered practice image by efficiently performing a wide variety of clinical and/or administrative duties for medical office outpatients under the direct supervision of a licensed physician or licensed mid-level provider. Serves as an important member of the care team, assisting the physician or mid-level provider with outcome-based patient care and using a team-based approach to all tasks.

The position is for a current student enrolled in the CVCC medical assistant program and is not to exceed 12 months or continue beyond completion of the program. With training and on-the-job experience, the incumbent should become proficient in basic aspects of the job within three months of the employment date.

Requirements

• Must be a current student enrolled in the CVCC medical assistant program.
• Must obtain BCLS certification from the American Heart Association within three months of the employment date.
• No prior experience is required.
