Our San Diego location is seeking an experienced Senior Embedded Digital Engineer for new product development and product improvement projects as part of a multi-disciplinary team. Take ownership for a digital component within a phased radar or Electronic Warfare application and drive the design from concept to production. As a senior engineer, you will also lead and mentor junior engineers.

Requirements

  • Experience with microcontrollers, FPGAs, DRAM, digital synthesizers, A/Ds, D/As, sensors, switching and linear regulators.
  • Experience with VHDL HDL coding.
  • Experience writing and debugging embedded code for micro-controllers.
  • Experience with circuit card design including parts selection, schematic entry, and layout oversight.
  • Experience interfacing with complex RF subsystems and/or motion-controlled positioner assemblies.
  • Experience authoring documentation such as design description documents and verification procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Architect, simulate, design, develop, support implementation, and integration of digital functions and sub-systems into Honeywell products.
  • Perform requirements specification, digital design, HDL coding, simulation, design verification, system integration, and transition to production.
  • Translate specifications into digital designs including microcontrollers, FPGAs, DRAM, digital synthesizers, A/Ds, D/As, sensors, switching and linear regulators.
  • Circuit card design including parts selection, schematic entry, and layout oversight
  • Partition FPGA architectures and develop and simulate VHDL HDL coding.
  • Write and debug embedded code for micro-controllers.
  • Test and integrate circuit cards / sub-systems / systems.
  • Interface with complex RF subsystems and/or motion-controlled positioner assemblies.
  • Author related documentation such as design description documents, verification procedures, etc.
