We are currently recruiting for a detail-oriented and dedicated Temporary Part Time Occupational Therapy Aide- to join our Long Term Care team reporting to the Director, Resident Care. You will assist in carrying out Group Therapy mobility programs with the Therapeutic Assistants in Long Term Care and Day Support.
Requirements
- Must be detail oriented.
- A current and clear Criminal Records Check with Vulnerable Sector Check that has been obtained no more than 90 calendar days prior to the hire date.
Responsibilities
- Assist group therapy mobility programs with the Therapeutic assistants in Long Term Care and Day Support.
- Educating residents and clients in the importance of proper techniques.
- Assist with setting up equipment, portering and other tasks required by the Physical or occupational therapist.
- Some admin duties.
- Carry out treatment programs, under the direction of physiotherapists and/or occupational therapists, to rehabilitate patients with various injuries or disabilities.
- Follow through on treatment programs with patients.
- Help physical therapists.
