About The Position
Athens Technical College is hiring an Adjunct Instructor to teach Anatomy and Physiology. The course covers the normal structure and function of the human body, the body systems and how they coordinate to maintain balance, and how systems recognize deviations from normal. Topics include the general plan and function of the body; integumentary, skeletal, muscular, nervous and sensory, endocrine, cardiovascular, lymphatic, respiratory, digestive, urinary, and reproductive systems. Laboratory exercises support lecture concepts. The instructor is expected to implement course materials that support stated initiatives and use appropriate techniques to help students achieve the course learning outcomes.
Requirements
- A master's degree in Anatomy and Physiology; or an earned master's or doctorate in a related field with at least 18 graduate semester hours in Anatomy and Physiology from a regionally accredited university; or an advanced degree such as an M.D., D.O., D.D.S., D.M.D., or DVM.
- Faculty must be credentialed to satisfy applicable accrediting bodies for the assigned course.
Nice To Haves
- Doctorate degree.
- Two years of prior post-secondary teaching experience.
- Experience with Blackboard.
- Experience using advanced media technology, such as distance-learning and online-learning applications in an online or hybrid environment.
