About The Position

Grand Canyon University is seeking an online adjunct faculty member for the College of Education to teach Sustaining Educational Environments and Communities. The instructor provides program instruction online using teaching methodologies, technology, and industry trends relevant to the discipline. The course explores the leader’s role in creating and sustaining positive school culture and a shared vision. Candidates consider how to cultivate productive relationships with students, families, and the educational community across varied settings and leadership situations, with an emphasis on communication with community stakeholders to promote student development and success.

Requirements

A master's degree in Educational Administration, Educational Leadership, or a related field.
Two areas of exceptional expertise.
A valid state principal, supervisor, or superintendent certification.
At least three years of experience as a classroom instructor.
At least three years of experience in a supervisory role, such as dean of students, assistant principal, principal, or district-level administrator.
At least six graduate credits related to organizational and group dynamics, leading change, supervision, educational leadership, principalship, or superintendency.

Nice To Haves

A doctorate in Educational Leadership or Educational Administration.

Responsibilities

Equip students with the required skill set and prepare them to succeed as leaders in their chosen profession.
Facilitate classroom discussions, including weekly main discussion forums in the online classroom.
Assess student performance.
Meet weekly grading requirements, deadlines, and timeframes.
Respond to students’ questions and emails within established timeframes.
Set a positive example by supporting Grand Canyon University’s Doctrinal Statement, Ethical Position Statement, and mission.
