Requirements

• Strong knowledge of recreational therapy principles and activity programming.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Develop, plan, and implement engaging recreational activities tailored to residents with memory impairments and dementia.
• Assess residents’ interests, abilities, and needs to create personalized activity plans.
• Foster a positive and stimulating environment that encourages socialization, cognitive engagement, and physical activity.
• Collaborate with staff, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure activities support residents’ overall well-being.
• Monitor and document residents’ participation and progress in activities.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized activity space.
• Stay informed about best practices and innovative approaches in memory care activities.
