About The Position

The Activities Coordinator conducts group and individual recreational activities for people with developmental disabilities, tailored to each person’s needs, capabilities, and interests. The role collaborates with the interdisciplinary team to identify and implement meaningful group activities that emphasize the preferences of the individuals served. The coordinator also guides staff in activity delivery and maintains classroom curriculum binders to support varied, age-appropriate programming. The position includes responsibility for determining and implementing necessary precautions to ensure the care and safety of individuals served.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Two years of experience working with developmentally disabled adults, including planning and conducting activities for this population.
• Valid driver’s license in good standing, with car registration and vehicle insurance.
• Complete all state-required training and certification within mandated timeframes.
• Reliable, responsible, and caring nature.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Commitment to the company’s mission and values.

Responsibilities
