About The Position

This position is part of the Ignition Ignition Graduate Development Program, a month-long cohort designed to provide recent graduates with a comprehensive understanding of the business through various training methods. Participants will learn about the business model, value proposition, and the impact of individual roles, while immersing themselves in the company culture. The program includes expert-led sessions on cross-functional areas, professional skill development, and relationship building. The program is scheduled for June 2027 and the role will be based in the Richfield, Ohio office. Employees are expected to be on-site four days a week, with one remote day, and core in-office days are Tuesday-Thursday.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrates technical knowledge of various accounting principles and practices.
  • Works on assignments of moderate technical and logistical complexity.
  • Develops and maintains knowledge of company policies, GAAP, and financial reporting standards.
  • Demonstrates foundational analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrates effective interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and across departments.
  • Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for current or future sponsorship.

Responsibilities

  • Assists in preparing and reviewing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP and other relevant regulations.
  • Maintains and reconciles general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial records.
  • Prepares journal entries and assists with month-end and year-end closing activities.
  • Assists in coordinating moderately complex accounting matters and reporting with other departments, locations, divisions, and external customers.
  • Supports internal and external audits, ensuring the availability of necessary documentation.
  • Assists with financial analysis, identifying trends, variances, and areas for improvement.
  • Participates in preparing ad-hoc financial reports and analyses as needed.
  • Supports internal control improvements to ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.
  • Assists in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
