About The Position

The Staff Accountant maintains fixed assets and projects in Oracle and performs critical month-end processing, including Oracle Project Costing closing processes, account reconciliations, and journal entries. The position is based in an office environment, may occasionally require travel to off-site locations, and involves occasional exposure to high noise levels, strong odors, varying temperatures, and biohazardous conditions. The role also requires prolonged sitting and movement throughout office or work locations, frequent stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and climbing or balancing, occasional use of computers and office equipment, effective communication and hazard identification, and the ability to occasionally lift or move up to 25 pounds.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or at least 2 years of industry accounting experience.
• Proficiency in Excel.
• Detail-oriented with good technical skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Nice To Haves

• General ledger experience.
• Oracle ERP systems and fixed asset experience.
• Excel skills including pivot tables and VLOOKUP capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Review and set up new projects in Oracle.
• Dispose of or retire assets in Oracle.
• Review overnight processes and clear exceptions.
• Keep project statuses updated.
• Update Oracle with new estimated project completion dates.
• Enter pre-approved batches as needed.
• Process month-end journal entries.
• Research and respond to plant questions.
• Perform account reconciliations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
