About The Position
A well-established commercial real estate company headquartered outside Dulles Airport in Virginia is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to handle accounting for multiple related entities. The position reports directly to the CFO and Chairman. The role requires being in the office at least four days per week.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of accounting experience.
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting, payroll, taxes, and reconciliations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance is highly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Perform all accounting functions for 25 separate real estate entities.
- Process rent payments.
- Prepare cash and investment reports.
- Perform bank reconciliations and monitor accounts with positive pay.
- Process invoices and accounts payable through Sage 100.
- Process time sheets and payroll, and file payroll taxes.
- Prepare journal entries and financial reports through Sage 100.
- Reconcile general ledger accounts between related entities.
- Process inter-company invoices and reconciliations.
- Prepare quarterly tax projections.
