About The Position
Methodist Health System is seeking a Staff Accountant 3. The organization is a faith-based healthcare provider based in Dallas, with a network of 12 hospitals through ownership and affiliation, more than two dozen clinics, teaching programs, research, and a commitment to the community. The role is 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday. The accountant will work with management across disciplines and levels, handle complex accounting issues, and communicate resolutions verbally and in writing.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree with a major in accounting.
- At least 5 years of related work experience.
- Must be a team-oriented problem-solver.
- Must have experience with accounting software; Workday is preferred.
- Must have experience with budget software; Strata is preferred.
- Must be detail-oriented and flexible in prioritizing workload.
- Must have excellent interpersonal and organizational skills and be able to interface with multidisciplinary management staff.
- Must have experience working with all levels of management.
- Must be able to work independently, analyze complex accounting issues, identify relevant facts, and communicate problematic resolutions verbally and in writing.
- Must be able to work overtime as needed.

- Hospital or healthcare accounting experience.
- Workday accounting software experience.
- Strata budget software experience.
- Advanced Excel experience, including pivot tables.
