• Minimum 2 years prior experience working as an Accountant, preferably with a manufacturing company.
• Ability to utilize basic arithmetic and some basic algebra and statistics.
• Excellent technical skills and general computer skills that include Excel, Word and Outlook.
• Proficient or become proficient in the use of the Company’s ERP software.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and enter adjusting journal entries
• Prepare reconciliations on general ledger accounts
• Analyze various balance sheet and income statement accounts
• Assist other departments of the Company with processing of accounting transactions
• Run various accounting reports as needed to assist in analysis
• Assist in the preparation of the monthly financial statements
• Assist with the annual financial audit of the Company records, preparing needed schedules and analysis
• Insuring that accounting transactions are properly supported and documented and are in compliance with GAAP
• Assist with maintaining the reconciliation of subsidiary ledgers to the control accounts in the general ledger, including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Fixed Assets and Inventory.
• Assist as needed with the preparation of the annual departmental budgets
• Become proficient with the ERP system to insure accounting transactions are processed accurately and in the most efficient manner
• Maintain organized files, both hard and soft copy, so as to facilitate review of information by others in the accounting department when needed
• Assist with special accounting related projects as needed.
• Provide support to the Accounting Supervisor, Controller and CFO as needed or requested
• Any other duties that may be assigned to meet Company goals
