The Sales Tax Accountant is responsible for multi-state sales and use tax filings for several corporations. This is a fast-paced position for someone who can manage various deadlines.
Requirements
- 1- 3 years progressive multi-state sales tax experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- Advanced Excel skills
Nice To Haves
- Experience with tax software Avalara is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and file monthly and quarterly high volume, multi-state sales and use tax returns
- Process sales tax remittances
- Assist with sales tax research questions
- Follow up on any notices received from tax authorities
- Provide support for all sales tax audits
- Maintain reconciliation of sales tax accounts to general ledger
- Assist with other tax duties and projects
- Assist with implementation of new tax software
