About The Position

The Project Accountant prepares and analyzes financial data to support the financial health and success of projects. The role collaborates with project teams and field personnel to maintain accurate financial reporting, track project costs and payments, and support project accounting processes.

Nice To Haves

Two or more years of construction field accounting experience or training.
Bachelor’s degree.

Responsibilities

Prepare project journal entries and reconcile cost reports for one or more projects.
Compile and analyze project pay forms, meeting deadlines and ensuring accuracy.
Track insurance and bond information for subcontractors.
Assist with month-end closing, budget rearrangements, and budget revisions as directed by the project team.
Set up cost codes and cost types to meet project needs.
Support field personnel with timecard entry, certified payroll, and reporting as needed.
Enter equipment time and reconcile equipment accruals for project needs.
Support accounts payable and onsite invoice entry to track project expenses and payments.
Work with project personnel to expedite payments and resolve issues.
