About The Position
Sploot is hiring new graduate veterinarians in Chicago for 2026 and 2027. New graduates begin with CAMP (Coaching And Mentorship Program), a structured, one-on-one mentorship pathway designed to develop clinical skills, confidence, and efficiency for independent practice. Veterinarians work alongside experienced doctors and a fully staffed nursing team, with opportunities to learn across multiple Sploot hospitals. During the first six weeks of CAMP, the veterinarian is paired one-on-one with a senior DVM each shift and sees the same schedule while learning the full scope of DVM responsibilities. After CAMP, protected learning blocks continue and taper as confidence and caseload grow. A formal evaluation takes place three months after graduating from CAMP, covering clinical decision-making, case management, efficiency, client communication, medical records, and nurse delegation. The role offers a $130,000 starting base salary on a 4x10 schedule during CAMP, followed by a ProSal model with 20–22% production after CAMP. Sign-on and relocation bonuses are available. Sploot welcomes fourth-year students and candidates licensed or eligible for licensure in Illinois. Requirements
- DVM/VMD graduate.
- Licensed or eligible for licensure in Illinois; fourth-year students are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities
- Learn the full scope of DVM responsibilities while paired with a senior DVM during the first six weeks of CAMP.
- Develop clinical skills, confidence, and efficiency through structured mentorship, guided learning, and skills checks.
- Practice across multiple Sploot hospitals and learn from a variety of DVMs.
- Participate in a formal three-month post-CAMP evaluation covering clinical decision-making, case management, efficiency, client communication, medical records, and nurse delegation.
- Work collaboratively with the nursing team and other doctors in a fast-paced environment.
