About The Position

Noah's Ark Animal Hospital is hiring a full-time Associate Veterinarian (DVM) for its small companion-animal practice in Valrico, Florida. The hospital primarily treats dogs and cats and has served Valrico families for more than 30 years. It is part of Tampa Bay Animal Hospital Group, a network of nine hospitals and 215 people. The veterinarian is supported by one assigned technician and two floating technicians at all times, with two assigned technicians on procedure days. The hospital funds technician credentialing and provides a full training program. Appointments are typically 30 minutes, or one hour for two pets, with blocks built into the schedule. Available equipment includes ultrasound, endoscopy, digital radiology, and dental radiology. The veterinarian performs dental extractions. The schedule is 35 scheduled hours per week, arranged as either three 12-hour days or four 10-hour days. The role includes one weekend per month, with one or two doctors working weekends, and no after-hours emergency duty. Compensation is $100,000–$175,000, with ProSal at 20% and no negative accrual, paid quarterly. The hospital describes its management style as open-book and open-door and emphasizes psychological safety.
