About The Position
CityVet Alexandria King Street is hiring an Associate Veterinarian for a hybrid general practice and urgent care role. The position combines scheduled wellness and sick visits, urgent care walk-ins, soft tissue surgeries, medical workups, and diagnostics, without overnight ER shifts. The veterinarian will provide high-quality medical care to pets and build lasting relationships with their owners in a collaborative team environment. The hospital provides preventive and wellness care, dentistry, soft tissue surgery, urgent care services, and advanced diagnostics. The clinic is veterinarian-owned and led by Dr. Choi, a practicing veterinarian and CityVet Partner. The role offers access to mentorship, clinical support, and collaboration with a network of more than 150 CityVet veterinarians. Compensation includes a guaranteed base salary and production commission, with no stated compensation ceiling.
Requirements
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree or equivalent.
- Licensed to practice in the state or eligible for licensure.
- Collaborative spirit and commitment to exceptional patient care.
- Interest in general practice and/or urgent care medicine.
Responsibilities
- Provide scheduled general practice wellness and sick visits.
- See urgent care walk-in cases.
- Perform soft tissue surgeries.
- Conduct medical workups and diagnostics.
- Provide high-quality medical care to pets and build lasting relationships with their owners.
- Collaborate with the clinic team and CityVet's network of veterinarians.
