Under the supervision of the Management Team (Operations Manager Guest Facility/Assistant Operations Manager Guest Facility), the Hospitality Specialist is responsible for overseeing all operational aspects of the Front Desk. This role ensures the highest level of customer service and professionalism for all hotel guests and building residents, including timely responses to and resolution of any requests or concerns. The Hospitality Specialist will greet all building occupants in a professional manner and ensure security and safety for all. They will register and assign rooms to guests, call building occupants to announce visitors, create reservations, verify customer credit, and handle all incoming calls including guest and tenant requests, reservations, and call forwarding. The role also involves coordinating and assisting with resident move-ins and move-outs, maintaining key logs and data sheets, assisting with package deliveries, confirming and controlling petty cash, and providing neighborhood and NYC information. Furthermore, the specialist will compute bills, collect payments, make change for guests, confirm shift collection totals, prepare clerk deposit envelopes, perform simple bookkeeping activities, issue room keys, review accounts with guests during check-out, and communicate with housekeeping, maintenance staff, management, or service companies regarding problems or technical issues. They are also responsible for confirming the following day's departures and performing opening and closing procedures during appropriate shifts, along with other assigned duties.
