We’re looking for a high-performing Executive/Senior Underwriter to join our team and play a critical role in driving profitable growth and strengthening broker partnerships.
Requirements
- 5+ years of Allied Healthcare liability underwriting experience
- Strong background in Excess & Surplus (E&S) lines and wholesale distribution
- Expertise in Allied Healthcare Excess business
- Proven ability to drive profitable growth and broker engagement
- Advanced selling, negotiation, and relationship management skills
- Leadership experience with a passion for mentoring others
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor’s degree (Risk Management preferred)
- CPCU, ASLI, AU, or similar designations
Responsibilities
- Manage and grow a profitable book of Allied Healthcare Excess business
- Underwrite complex primary and excess risks across E&S lines
- Build and maintain strong relationships with wholesale brokers
- Serve as a technical expert on coverage, pricing, and underwriting strategy
- Lead underwriting activities including new business, renewals, and pricing
- Identify trends, emerging risks, and opportunities to enhance portfolio performance
- Collaborate cross-functionally (claims, product, leadership) to inform decisions
- Mentor and coach junior underwriters and contribute to team development
