About The Position

First American is seeking a Commercial Underwriter for its growing team in Denver. The role applies legal knowledge and risk analysis to commercial real estate transactions and supports the delivery of title insurance and settlement services. The Commercial Underwriter provides underwriting support, counsel, and authorization to company personnel and customers, applying established standards and guidelines within delegated authority limits.

Requirements

5–7 years of title underwriting experience.
Familiarity with real estate law, including federal and state regulations.
Strong understanding of fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures in real estate title and settlement.
Strong analytical rigor and business acumen.
Strong negotiation skills and the ability to offer alternative solutions or communicate unpopular information tactfully.
Ability to collaborate, act decisively, and build relationships internally and externally.
Excellent listening, verbal, and written communication skills.
Strong organizational skills, including the ability to multitask, prioritize, and follow up in a timely manner.
Ability to think abstractly and develop creative solutions.
