Transport Aide Jobs

The Patient Transport Aide assists staff with patient transportation and indirect patient care, helping ensure necessary supplies are available for continuous patient care. The role safely and efficiently transports patients to and from hospital departments and upon discharge, delivers essential supplies and equipment, and supports smooth patient care operations. The aide reports observed changes in a patient’s status or needs to an RN, responds promptly to stat calls and clinical staff requests, and transports patient valuables and belongings with the patient. The position also includes rounds to deliver and pick up supplies, records, specimens, x-rays, orders, and equipment, as well as keeping department stretchers and wheelchairs in patient-ready condition.
