About The Position

The Transport Aide provides safe transport of patients, personal effects, requisitions, specimens, charts, and miscellaneous items, and assists with patient transport activities as required. This is a per diem position with variable hours based on departmental needs. The scheduled hours are 3:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.; scheduled days vary, and weekend coverage may be required as needed. The job location is The Valley Hospital in Paramus.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
Good communication skills for interacting with patients, family members, and other members of the health care team.
Ability to pay attention to detail and move between tasks without loss of efficiency or composure.
Ability to handle frequent interruptions and adapt to changes in workload and work schedule.
No previous experience is required.
