About The Position

Requirements

• Be based in the United States.
• Have an iPhone with iMessage and a Facebook and/or Instagram account.
• Have a bachelor's degree in English, literature, creative writing, linguistics, comparative literature, education, or a related humanities field.
• Have strong instruction-following skills, including accurately applying detailed, multi-step guidelines without skipping or reinterpreting steps.
• Have experience teaching English or literature at the K-12, college, or adult education level; examples include language arts, literature, composition, creative writing, or ESL.
• Have solid knowledge of literary analysis, writing conventions, and grammar, with the ability to evaluate style, tone, and clarity.
• Use Google Classroom daily and hands-on to run classes, including posting assignments and announcements, giving feedback, managing due dates, and communicating with students and parents; regularly use Gmail and Google Calendar.
• Have experience using AI tools for practical tasks and be comfortable instructing an AI assistant and checking its work.
• Demonstrate exceptional attention to detail in grammar, tone, and accuracy when reviewing AI-generated writing.

Nice To Haves

• A master's degree or advanced coursework in English, literature, or a related field.
• Prior experience with AI evaluation, data labeling, user testing, or similar feedback-driven projects.
• Familiarity with prompt writing and a practical understanding of AI assistant behaviors and limitations.
• Experience grading or reviewing writing or AI outputs for accuracy, helpfulness, and appropriateness.
• Experience writing rubrics or giving structured feedback on student writing or literary analysis.

Responsibilities

• Complete realistic teaching-related digital tasks using AI assistant tools, including emailing parents and students, scheduling conferences, booking field trips to theaters or author events, and coordinating with colleagues.
• Read task instructions and grading guidelines carefully and follow them precisely and consistently, including multi-step requirements and details.
• Give AI assistants clear instructions for real-world tasks and review their work for accuracy, tone, grammar, completeness, and instruction-following.
• Apply grading guidelines to evaluate, rank, and annotate assistant responses, focusing on language quality, literary and stylistic appropriateness, clarity, and tone.
• Use knowledge of literature, rhetoric, and composition to assess whether AI-written text is well-constructed, audience-appropriate, and faithful to the request.
• Use AI training tools and platforms to record findings and submit evaluation data according to project standards and milestones.
