About The Position
The Arc Erie County NY is hiring a per-diem Substitute Teacher Assistant to support students with disabilities in a classroom environment. The role offers flexible scheduling and meaningful, hands-on work supporting student learning. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., on an as-needed per-diem basis. Pay is $19.00 per hour. Paid training is provided, and the position offers a supportive team environment and an opportunity for supplemental income.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.

- Experience working with children or individuals with disabilities preferred.
Responsibilities
- Support teachers with classroom activities and student learning.
- Work one-on-one and in small groups with students.
- Help maintain a safe, positive, and engaging classroom environment.
- Assist students throughout the school day as needed.
