Secondary Core Teacher (Recruiting Purposes)
About The Position
The Secondary Core Teacher provides students with appropriate learning activities and experiences in an assigned core academic subject area to support their intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth. The teacher helps students develop competencies and skills to function successfully in society. The role plans and uses instructional and learning strategies, activities, materials, equipment, and technology that reflect students’ learning styles and needs, and presents subject matter according to Texas Education Agency guidelines, board policies, and administrative regulations. The position is at Schulenburg Secondary for the 2027–2028 school year, with a 187-day work year and a salary range above the state base.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Texas Teaching Certification.
- Student teaching, an approved internship, or related work experience.
- Knowledge of the assigned core academic subject.
Responsibilities
- Plan and use appropriate instructional and learning strategies, activities, materials, equipment, and technology that reflect the learning styles and needs of assigned students.
- Present subject matter according to Texas Education Agency guidelines, board policies, and administrative regulations.
- Provide appropriate learning activities and experiences in the assigned core academic subject area to support students’ intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth.
