Co Teacher Preschool
About The Position
Apple Montessori Schools is seeking a Co Teacher Preschool to help provide a safe, enjoyable learning environment and support students’ individual success. The role works collaboratively with the Head Teacher and other teaching staff on curriculum, lesson planning, parent communication, school events, and curriculum preparation. The Co-Teacher will learn to demonstrate Montessori materials and philosophy and participate in staff development, educational trainings, mentorship programs, and ongoing professional development. The position is located in Morris Plains, New Jersey, with hours Monday through Friday from 10:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.
Requirements
- Associate’s degree in early childhood education, an associate degree in a similar field with required credits, or CDA.
- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with parents.
- Experience with lesson planning and development.
- Ability to multitask and function in an ever-changing environment.
Nice To Haves
- Montessori experience preferred.
- NAMC preferred, or willingness to obtain it within the first year of employment.
Responsibilities
- Ensure all students enjoy a safe and enjoyable learning environment.
- Collaborate with the Head Teacher on curriculum, lesson planning, and parent communication.
- Work closely with students to foster individual success plans and maintain accurate records.
- Learn to effectively demonstrate Montessori materials and philosophy.
- Collaborate with teaching staff to plan school events and prepare curriculum.
- Participate in staff development activities, educational trainings, and mentorship programs.
