About The Position

Requirements

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in education or related field preferred
• Experience working with children (especially PreK–4) preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
• Commitment to supporting the mission and teachings of the Catholic Church
• Ability to manage a full school day in an active environment
• Lift up to 35 pounds and perform routine physical tasks (standing, walking, bending, etc.)
• Supervise students in various settings, including outdoors and during active conditions
• Maintain composure and attentiveness in a dynamic school environment
• All employees are expected to uphold and model the values and teachings of the Catholic Church while contributing to a safe, nurturing, and academically enriching environment for every student.

Responsibilities

• Support the classroom teacher with daily instruction and student activities
• Work with individual students or small groups to reinforce learning concepts
• Supervise students in classrooms, lunch, recess, and other school settings
• Assist with lesson preparation, classroom organization, and instructional materials
• Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly classroom environment
• Help with snack/lunch routines and classroom transitions
• Promote positive behavior using appropriate guidance and intervention strategies
• Maintain attendance, activity records, and incident reports as directed
• Communicate effectively with teachers and staff regarding student needs
• Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and school activities
• Model respect, teamwork, and Catholic values in all interactions
